Adding channels
We create channels within teams to direct the discussion in a certain direction, and they are seen in the Teams menu as folders. They can be public (accessible to anyone) or private (reserved for selected members only), which we specify when creating a channel. Each of them has an associated folder on the SharePoint Online portal where the files that team members work on are stored. If the channel is private, only members can access it.
The fastest way to create a channel is to select the desired team in the Teams menu, open its context menu, and then the Add channel option. A window will open in which we can enter the name of the channel, a short description and specify the type of privacy (Private/Public).
Alternatively, we can add a channel from the Channels tab within the Manage teams option discussed earlier. The Add Channel option is also here, and in this menu you can see all previously created channels with name, description, visibility mark, type … In this menu you can also see deleted channels.
