Chart templates

Companies often strive to unify their reports using predefined rules regarding choosing font types, color styles and other formatting modes. The unified look is introduced using Templates, and when we want to create charts, we will use chart templates. In addition to appearance, standard charts also introduce standard data ranges in axes, which contributes to the accuracy of the report.

Chart templates are made in00088-1 a very easy way. First, you need to select a data series and create a chart. Then, we adjust all the elements of a chart such as: title, axis, legend, background … When we have created a chart that best reflects the template we want to preserve, we need to right-click the blank field of the chart in one of the angles (we will recognize it by clicking on the Chart Area message when we go over it). With this action we will open a context menu where there are many options, among which you need to choose Save as Template. After specifying the name of the template, the template template will be saved in a folder intended for their placement or in another location that we choose.

When we want to create a new chart for which we want to look like a chart that we previously recorded, we can do this by following the standard procedure for creating a chart, choosing a type of chart or Recommended Charts from the Insert ribbon, or so we will make any chart, then select the Change Chart Type option from the Design ribbon. Every time we choose, a dialog box opens, where you first need to click on the All Charts tab, and then choose the Templates option on the left. In the central part of the window, templates will be provided. Next, we just need to select the template we consider to best reflect the given data, which corresponds to the reporting standard that we want to comply with.
