Power BI, publishing on web

Companies sometimes have the need to publish reports that are of importance for the various concerned parties (customers, suppliers, shareholders, banks) such as balance sheet, income statement, inventory… If you connect with ERP or BI solution, and further import data to PowerBI and create reports and dashboards, there is an option to generate a link for sharing PowerBI reports on external web site.

How does this work? Once you sign on PowerBI and select a report, upon it a menu ribbon will appear.

 Clicking the File tab opens a menu in which there are several options. They enable downloading, recording, printing, export to PowerPoint and publishing on web.

If you choose the last option Publish to Web window opens that offers several functionalities. First, you can select the desired size of the report, and then you can download link or part of the HTML code you can simply paste to desired page on your website.

After you do this, report you have selected will be imported from PowerBI, nested into a web page and automatically updated each time when there is change in data.
