Illustrate your report

Icons are illustrations that we first encountered when Office 2019 appeared. Although we could find a multitude of icons, divided by categories, Office 2021 has significantly improved this segment so that now, in addition to a rich icon gallery, you can add images, transparent photos of people, stickers, or other vector images that can enhance the look of your report. Let’s see how this is used!

Traffic lights

Conditional formatting is an Excel functionality that is often used, and allows you to emphasize certain parts of the report. Typically, conditional formatting is used within the same column, but how do we display “traffic lights“, icons that indicate a change in business, within another column? This is a very simple procedure, and if you want to find out how this is done, you have it in this “recipe”.

3D models and icons

Excel 2019 comes with two new types of graphic object,; these are 3D models and icons. 3D models are vector models of objects that we can add from the location on the disk or the Internet, and serve to better illustrate the data in the table. For example, if table contains a work order 3D model may be the product design we make. Icons are 2D graphic objects (SVG) that we can use in a similar way.
