Microsoft is constantly working to improve the user experience and make everyday work in Excel easier. A few years ago, the „Tell me what you want to do“ option appeared, and later its functionality was integrated into the Search field, which you can still see in the title bar of any Excel document. Search is now part of the context menu, and browsing Excel features is even easier than before…

Let us start from a table containing a simple report from the banking sector. Let’s say we want to apply conditional formatting, but we don’t know how to find this option. Select the table. Right-click to open the context menu. At the top of the table you will see the field Search the menus

Enter the field and start typing Conditional Formatting. You don’t have to enter the whole word, just add part of it, Excel will soon offer you several options…

If we choose the Data Bars option, we will apply, without much trouble, the option we were searching for…
