PowerBI sharing

Power BI service, in accordance to trends, allows document sharing and collaborative work. There are multiple file sharing mechanisms, and most of them are only available to users of the Power BI Pro license, which is understandable because sharing involves working in a group, it makes no sense to share something with itself. In the following text I’ll mention address workspaces and further document sharing, how to generate QR code and monitor report statistics.

Co-authoring in Excel

Newer versions of Excel no longer support the document sharing option I have written in one of the earlier texts. It can still be used after manually adding to the quick menu or toolbar, but collaborating on documents has evolved into co-authoring. This means that the documents are saved on the OneDrive repository, and that the right-hand users can change them at the same time.

Document sharing

Working together of multiple users on one document is a very common situation. The document can be found on a network, SharePoint Server or Cloud, and when working together, it is important to determine who is going to access the document, what changes he will make, and if more users are browsing content, which change should be accepted. In the following text, we will deal with the basic terms of exclusion and common work.
