3D charts
A large number of Excel charts also have their 3D version. Although in most cases this is just unnecessary embellishment, making it difficult to draw conclusions, sometimes 3D charts really do make sense. We will start with a simple table showing years, sales revenue and profit. After selecting the range, it is necessary to go to the Insert ribbon, and select one of the options for adding a chart. Alternatively, you can run the Recommended Charts option. As you can see, there are 3D variants of Column, Bar, Pie, Line and other types of charts. One of them, the Surface chart, is initially intended to be created in a 3D version! In this example, I chose to create a 3D Line chart.
After adding and initial formatting of the chart, it’s time to change the way the data is viewed. Right-click above the chart, then select 3-D Rotation from the context menu. A panel will appear on the right side of the window where you can rotate the graph along the X or Y axis, as well as change the perspective. Entry is made in degrees.
